Designer Emma Wood (Ryman '12)

“I love this quote by Herb Ryman because it really captures what creating art feels like. It’s about more than just what you see — it’s about letting what you see actually move you, and then letting that feeling guide your hand. It’s such a simple way to describe something that feels really personal and powerful. My design is inspired by my time as a Ryman Arts student and all the creativity and discovery that came with it. I filled the space with doodles that reminded me of sketching in the margins of my notebook during class. It was fun to create something that celebrates what Ryman Arts meant to me.”

Emma is a Los Angeles based Designer, Illustrator, and Art Director with a specialty in themed entertainment. She is currently a designer and illustrator at BRC Imagination Arts, working on some exciting new immersive experiences all around the world. Emma had previously worked at Walt Disney Imagineering where she worked on a number of new projects for Disney Parks in Anaheim and Shanghai.
